My Story
"The Giving Tree"

In 2021, my family had to cut down a tree in our backyard that had stood there since before I was born. I grew up climbing its branches, hiding behind it during games of hide-and-seek, and watching squirrels race through its limbs. It had quietly been part of so many memories throughout my childhood.
When it came down, I couldn't bring myself to see it become firewood. I wanted to give it a different ending — or maybe a second beginning. I wanted to preserve a piece of it and turn it into something that could continue living with us for years to come.
That experience changed the way I looked at wood. Since then, I've found myself drawn to pieces that have been sitting and waiting for a second life. Whether it's a fallen tree, reclaimed wood, or materials tied to meaningful moments, I love transforming them into something that carries both beauty and a story.
For me, woodworking isn't just about making furniture. It's about preserving memories and creating pieces that become part of new ones.
The Step by Step
From wood to art
Brainstorming
Prepping the wood
Pizzazz
Understanding the space it’s going into and its function. Discussing all preferences regarding size and design.
Each piece is cleaned of any remaining bark before being hand-planed. Pieces are then sanded and later stained.
Once the wood is prepped, the creative process starts! It’s turning the creative ideas into reality!
